Polyurethane Furniture

Polyurethane FurnitureThe market for cushioning materials is dominated by polyurethane flexible foams, although where strong - tough but decorative - integral-skinned flexible or rigid foam structures are needed, polyurethanes are also ideal. They are the most versatile furnishing material. In flexible form they are used in sofas, chairs and mattresses; in rigid form they can be moulded into an infinite variety of shapes and structures, providing a good substitute for wood and metal and enjoying major usage in office and domestic furniture.

Chemical systems supplied in the furniture industry can be used in the following applications:

  • One-component moisture glues for the construction of wooden furniture
  • Integral skin arm rests for office furniture
  • MDI (Diisocyanato Diphenylmethane) block foam starting from densities of 30kg/m³and above
  • Replacement of latex in the production of cushions and mattresses
  • Visco-elastic foam for the production of pillows and matresses
  • Desk edging
  • Decorative moldings / simulated wood
